Protocol  is excited to be working closely with a further education college in the  Chester  area looking for passionate  Learning Support Assistants.

You will primarily be responsible for the care and education of students with disabilities or learning difficulties. Your specific duties may include assisting students in their work; preparation of rooms, equipment and materials, tracking learner progress as well as general individual assistance which may include attending to their health, safety, physical and hygiene needs.

The role will start in September, with v arious hours for this role are available and this role is on a temporary basis to be reviewed monthly , however successful candidates can expect long term work within this college. The role pays  £10.35 per hour + Holiday Pay.

Role responsibilities

  • Assisting students with disabilities or learning difficulties to learn and grow, both in and outside the classroom.
  • Provide physical and emotional support for students, ensuring they have access to equipment and classrooms, and additionally assisting with tracking the students progress.
  • Liaising with teachers and tutors to ensure the student has the required accessibility to classes and education, as well as checking on the students progress and development.
  • The person & qualifications

  • A relevant qualification/ degree in LSA/ SEN related work
  • Relevant experience in the industry and a commitment to providing excellent educational care
  • A DBS is required for this role
