Temporary 30 HOUR POST TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE: B5

This is an exciting opportunity to become a Community Staff Nurse working within a School Nursing Team. 

  • The purpose of the School Nursing Service is to promote the health and well-being of the school child by identifying deviation from normal development and referring to appropriate agencies promptly, thus minimise the potential for disadvantages;
  • To liaise between schools, parents, Health Visitors, Primary Health Care Team, medical staff and other services in matters of school health and development of children and young people and to develop a good integrated approach between health and education departments.
  • This is a 30 hours temporary post. The successful applicant will be working on an annualised contract adapted throughout the year to meet the needs of the service. The team is located in The Quay Health Centre, but will liaise closely with the existing School Nurse Teams, visiting other clinic bases and school settings. We would welcome anyone who is interested in being seconded from their present role.

     This post is fixed term for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.

    The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply

  • To work in the UK, all candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland (RoI) nationals require sponsorship to obtain either a Health and Care visa or Skilled Worker visa , unless you have permission to work via another route.
