About the role

As a Technical Buyer, your day will involve dealing with Outside Manufacture service requests, youll be reviewing technical drawings and assessing supplier-manufacturing capabilities.

Working closely with internal and external engineering customers you will use your skills and expertise to provide concise and accurate guidance on a range of buyer related topics, such as quotations and technical queries, alongside raising and documenting concessions – we use a bespoke access database that you will be thoroughly trained to use, this includes a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) framework of suppliers.

Working within an accredited ISO Quality accredited system you will arrange, attend and be responsible as minutes secretary for the Quarterly Quality sub- committee meetings and the MMTE Group meetings.

You will also be responsible for the management of ad hoc supporting tasks

About you

You will have experience in engineering and/or procurement and also, importantly you will need to be confident and comfortable communicating with a host of people from across the engineering and procurement sectors. Finally having up to date knowledge of Microsoft, most noticeably databases is essential.

  • Strong team player
  • ECDL – or demonstrable knowledge of using Microsoft office Inc. databases, (Outlook, Word, SharePoint etc.)
