Hourly Rate: £14.39 – £15.94
Salary: £26,263.18- £29,091.93 pro rata per annum
Contract Duration: Permanent

Role Purpose

An exciting new post in Children & Families Social Work Service has arisen supporting Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children.
The post holder will work within the Throughcare Aftercare Team and provide support across a range of areas for unaccompanied asylum seeking and trafficked children and young people. The role includes support with accommodation/independent living tasks; finance; support in accessing education, training and employment; familiarisation with the local community; and, liaison with immigration services.

The post holder will be required to work with children and young people who are Looked After and Accommodated and with their carers, as well as working with young people whose immigration status is uncertain.

Essential

HNC/SVQ 3 in Social Care or Childcare and Education
OR considerable experience and a commitment to undertake such training

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
