Hourly Rate: £10.76 – £11.48
Salary: £20,767.00 – £22,156.09 pro rata per annum
Contract Duration: Temporary until 30/04/2023

Working Pattern: 4 days per week and every third weekend

Role Purpose

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Waste Treatment team. This role would suit someone with an interest in recycling who has either a telescopic handler or 360 ticket and enjoys working in a customer service environment.

This position shall involve covering a range of waste treatment roles. This includes working at our Waste Transfer Stations operating plant such as a telescopic handler or a 360; working at our Community Recycling Centres directing and assisting members of the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of the materials they are depositing.

Training for specific equipment will be provided. This role will involve working from different sites within the Scottish Borders.

Essential

One or more of the following:
Plant Tickets (e.g. CITB, NPORS, SVQ 2 or equivalent for hooklift roll on roll off or plant e.g. loadall/telehandler, 360)
A good standard of education (numeracy & literacy)

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
