Job Purpose:

To provide porter, cleaning, reception duties, maintenance and other tasks within the Crematorium and the surrounding grounds. The aim is to support the provision of cremations and associated services to the public. This role support the Crematorium Attendants in achieving the above. 

Requirements

Role Requirements:

Proven experience of dealing with members of the public, including those who may be difficult or challenging.

Proven ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.

The ability to push/pull trolleys and move coffins.

The ability to rake out the hearth after each cremation.

The ability to carry out general gardening/grounds maintenance work.

Responsibilities

The post holder will deliver:

Porter/janitorial services and assist in the day to day running and operation of the crematorium to the required service standards.

All duties to be carried out as instructed and directed by Crematorium Manager/ Senior Crematorium Attendant.
