The Role

We are looking for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join us, we hope that you are enthusiastic and enjoy sharing your knowledge through mentoring and coaching with all members of the team. We have a varied surgical and clinical caseload that will utilise your diagnostic and surgical skills, whilst allowing for a diverse working day. You will lead the team and supporting in the running of the practice. Your interest may be in imaging/ultrasound and you wish to further your knowledge through a Certificate, we can support you with this or any other interest.

The hours for this role are 40 hours per week working over 4 days. There will be 1 in 4 weekends and no out of hours.

Salary

Salary for the role is up to £55,000 per annum depending on experience.

About Us

Well House Vets has two clinics one in Crowborough and the other in Tunbridge Wells. We border on Ashdown Forest, an area of outstanding natural beauty and a great way to walk off the stresses after the working day. Both clinics are near a mainline train station for London/Gatwick for that quick dinner followed by a visit to the theatre. We have achieved the ISFM Silver Accredited cat-friendly clinic. 

We have all the usual equipment and facilities including ultrasound, in-house laboratories, endoscopy, digital x-ray, theatre suite, and separate cat and dog wards. We have a Dental Suite and would if you are interested in pursuing a Dental Certificate this would be an excellent opportunity. 

Currently, our team consists of 3 Veterinary Surgeons with one of them being a Senior Veterinary Surgeon, 1 Deputy Registered Veterinary Nurse, 1 Registered Veterinary Nurse, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, and a brilliant support team consisting of, 2 Kennel Assistants, 2 Receptionists, and a Practice Manager. One of our Registered Veterinary Nurses has a keen interest in dental and therefore it would be great to work together to establish a sought-after dental facility in the area.

We are a close team who believe in working together to provide a high standard of care for our clients and patients. We have an ethos at Well House that includes the sharing of knowledge and experiences as paramount to ensuring that we remain a cohesive team and share best practices.
