Introduction

Astute Technical are working with a leading Environmental Solutions business who operate across Waste, Water and Energy Management services. Due to continual growth our client is currently looking for a Fabrics Technician to join their team in Cambridge.

Roles & Responsibilities
As the Fabric Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all work conducted on site is in accordance with site Environmental Health and Safety and cGMP rules and guidelines.
  • Conducting work as per the schedule supplied by Fabric Scheduler.
  • Troubleshoot problems as directed.
  • Completing site documentation before and after work.
  • Liaising with Contractors.
  • Participating in the appropriate training.
  • Carrying out risk assessments of Equipment Maintenance Task List.
  • Working closely with the site plant engineering team.
  • Flexibility to work around site maintenance shutdowns.
  • Knowledge of all GMP rules and regulations, full training will be provided.
  • Be familiar with Statutory requirements.
  • Take responsibility for his/her curricula and ensuring all missing requirements are completed.
  • Maintenance of housekeeping standards compatible with pharmaceutical manufacturing in the general plant, control rooms and compatibility with clean room requirements as required.
  • Providing input or support during the implementation of new projects.

    • Skills & Qualifications
    We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Trades, City & Guilds or equivalent.
  • Fabric / carpentry type experience, 2 years minimum and good understanding of types of works involved.
  • Provide support and assistance to the maintenance team as required
  • Good understanding of Preventive Maintenance Systems
  • Work within a Computerized Maintenance Management Work Order system environment.
  • Work within a documented Permit to Work System.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good Initiative and pro-active attitude in approach to duties.
  • Previous work under SOP’s and GMP systems would be favourable but is not essential as full training will be provided.
