Operations Support Specialist

The role
We are currently recruiting for an Operations Support Specialist to join a growing company based in Greenwich, London. We are looking for someone who has good attention to detail, who can work closely with our clients Operations team to assist with operations administration activities, including ownership of their parts storage and inventory management across multiple locations and data input to their CMMS system. This role will work closely with the Plant Operations Coordinator, who schedules and assigns all work activities to the mobile engineers, stepping in for them when they are on leave. There will also be the opportunity to assist onsite during site adoptions to familiarize with the heat networks themselves.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data input to the CMMS system, such as new asset and spare part entry
  • Preparation of client quotes and updating relevant trackers
  • Validation of work orders in our CMMS system for completeness, including corrective and follow-on work orders.
  • Assisting with Asset tagging with Operations team during on site adoptions.
  • Setting up of Operations devices – Phone / Tablets with our CMMS system
  • Managing Vehicle keys and associated equipment
  • Escorting Subcontractors occasionally.
  • Ownership of the Parts storage locations, ensuring parts are correctly received, stored safely (5S), and recorded correctly in our CMMS.
  • Receiving deliveries and entering inbound parts into our inventory management system.
  • Assigning parts to Work Orders such that virtual stock levels match that in the critical spare stores and billable works reports area accurate
  • Assist to produce, from the system, reports on part availability and issue appropriate communications.
  • Assist with coordinating and representing usage updates, forecast and progress reports to the business.
  • Assist with creation of Critical Spare parts list and procurement
  • Liaising with suppliers and finance to update approved suppliers
  • Carrying out quarterly stock takes at Greenwich EC.
  • Skills and Qualification:

  • Experience with inventory management and office administration preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge / Experience of 5S is beneficial
  • Must possess strong organisation skills and an eye for detail
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Good verbal and written communications skills in English are essential
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and work ethic
  • Ability to learn and work in multiple systems simultaneously
  • Must possess integrity and trustworthiness towards the company
  • Genuine interest in the industry and eagerness to contribute to a developing department
  • Salary and Benefits:

  • £22, to £25,
