Job description

Duties will include menu planning, the preparation of meals, maintaining a clean kitchen environment as well as stock control and the ordering of kitchen provisions. Knowledge of health and safety issues and safe storage of foodstuffs is essential.

An NVQ/QCF in catering or equivalent is desirable and a food handling and hygiene certificate is essential. Candidates without a qualification will have to demonstrate that they have substantial cooking experience. Although there is no direct work with children, we are looking for someone who enjoys working and interacting with children with disabilities.

All successful candidates are to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
