The Role

Here at Straid Vets we are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. The role includes a mix of consulting and operating. There will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon available for mentoring of more advanced surgeries if needed.

The role is for a full time working 40 hours per week over 5 days. There will be 1 in 4 Saturday mornings from 8:00am-12:00pm however it will be a 4-day week when working the Saturday. No out of hours are involved.

The salary will be up to £50,000 depending on experience.

About Us

Straid Vets are based in the heart of Beaconsfield. We have been established in the community here for over 100 years and pride ourselves on a high standard of service and care to our loyal clients. We are a friendly team that keeps a family-like approach to our work. A real team player is essential to us.

The equipment we have includes digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental equipment including dental x-ray, operating theatre, and 3 consultation rooms. We have an experienced Surgeon performing more advanced surgeries including orthopaedics.

Beaconsfield is an affluent and thriving community with great access to London and other surrounding areas by train. The town boasts many restaurants, bars, pubs, and shops. We are part of our community and take part in local town fayre by judging the dog show and have also attended career events at local schools.

Currently, we have 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Veterinary nurses/Veterinary Care Assistants. We also have 4 Receptionists and Support Staff.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a team player that will fit in to our friendly and social group. The candidate will be confident, enthusiastic and reliable. Experience in surgery is preferred but not essential. The candidate must be MRCVS.
