Job Purpose:

To deliver quality instrumental music tuition to assigned pupils and contribute to the professional corporate life of the Music Service in relation to pupils, parents, staff and schools

Requirements

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

Recognised National Music Degree / Diploma

PVG Membership for regulated work with children or willingness to obtain prior to a formal offer of employment being made

Although not required, a driving licence is advantageous

Responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to:

Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and sustain effective relationships
With customers on behalf of the council

Ability to organise and prioritise workloads in order to achieve deadlines.

Ability to work proactively and with limited direct supervision, while at the same time recognising when matters need to be referred to a more senior manager
