About the role

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for aPlant Hire Coordinator to join our team to work in Birmingham.

Role Purpose:

To provide support to the plant team with all administrative tasks including recording service reports, plant locations, timesheets and managing all documents.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing of documents & data
  • Support the delivery of Sustainability activities
  • Deliver results by deadlines as required by the contract and project teams
  • Raising and management of R12 purchase order numbers
  • Weekly and monthly processing of management reporting
  • Manage group email inbox resolving all queries
  • Coordination and control of all internal and external hire plant and transport.
  • Optimise the utilisation of BBV JVs plant and Affiliates plant by limiting the external hiring.
  • Coordinate a planning for the mobilisation, the demobilisation of the plant on site
  • Work alongside Earthworks, Structures, Compliance and Technical teams ensuring all BBV plant is managed, utilised, and remains compliant for the durations of the works.
  • Who we’re looking for

  • The role requires a substantial understanding and experience of major / mega project operations, and the processes involved.
  • Must have prior experience of building close relationships with all the project personalities / teams involved.
  • Be able to function as the main point of contact for all plant hire operations.
  • A plant hire supply chain professional experienced in the ordering and despatching of plant, transport and related resources.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and environment legislation and application.
  • Highly developed interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to liaise and influence effectively at all levels of staff and labour, joint-venture parties, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.
  • Advanced user level MS office / Oracle R12 (or similar)
