To assist and where necessary deputise for the Head Teacher in the conduct of the affairs of the school to the benefit of the pupils, staff and the community it serves through pursuing objectives and implementing policies set by ACC in accordance with current legislation and within the agreements of the SNCT.
The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
Appropriate teaching qualification.
Full GTC (Scotland) Registration in the appropriate subject/sector.
PVG scheme membership.
The post holder is expected to demonstrate:
Teaching ability as an excellent practitioner.
Commitment to personal and school development.
Up to date knowledge of curricular innovations and good practice in support for pupils.
Initiative, extended professionalism and acceptance of responsibility.
Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, including health and safety legislation.
