Senior HSE Manager

Rate – £ – £ per day
Duration – 12 months

The Role
We are recruiting for a Senior HSE Manager to work for the EPC on a large-scale Open Cycle Gas Turbine project based in Eye (Suffolk). The HSE Manager will lead and coordinate all Health and Safety activities on this project in line with the site HSE Management system and will prepare Health and Safety reports for senior management within the company.

Key responsibilities:

  • Co-Operate with the client for the proper management of the Site HSE issues.
  • Lead and coordinate HSE activities in accordance with Site HSE Management System.
  • Prepare the necessary HSE procedures, instructions and documentation.
  • Carry out daily site HSE tours to monitor the compliance with the HSE standards and implement necessary measures to remove HSE deviations and non-conformities and to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Risk and Hazard management, application of preventive measures & corrective actions.
  • Participate to Site HSE meetings (daily, weekly, and monthly).
  • Prepare HSE reports.
  • Coordinate the Site HSE team.
  • Co-operate and coordinate the HSE teams of Sub contractors.
  • Co-operate with the Site Management Team.
  • Implement the International HSE standards (ISO , ISO ), as well as other International standards such as IFC performance standards, World Bank EHS, etc.
  • Perform and promote site personnel training (Induction & Specific trainings, Toolbox talks, etc.).
  • Acting as site HSE representative, according to local regulations.
  • Requirements and skills :

  • Experience in HSE senior management role
  • 10+ years in Power Plants projects or Oil & Gas.
  • Solid Experience with CDM regulation and working for a Principal Contractor
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent too.
  • Excellent use of English language (written & spoken), additional language will be considered as an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • HSE Leadership skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of HSE issues.
  • Determined and analytical approach to problem solving and Incident investigation.
  • Professional ability in personnel management.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Availability to move and work abroad.
