Astute Technical Recruitment are working exclusively with our client, who are a leading company in the production of paper, to assist with the recruitment of an Electrical Technician to join their team in Kent.

The site operates 24 hours per day, but this will be a Monday – Friday days position with 1 in 4 weekend call out where you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance activities of all Electrical assets on site.

Role & Responsibilities

As Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on Electrical assets which includes equipment such as motors, variable speed drives, PLC’s, etc.
  • Planning PPM Schedules and reviewing plant defects
  • Update the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) when required
  • Carry out root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent faults from reoccurring
  • Skills & Qualifications

    We are looking for someone with the following experience and qualifications:

  • C&G/NVQ Level 3 minimum in Engineering/Plant Operations or Apprentice qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Prior experience working in heavy process engineering environments such as Paper Mills, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Power Generation, etc.
  • IOSH or H&S certificate (Desirable)
  • Experience working to Safe Systems of Work
  • Electrically biased Marine Engineers are encouraged to apply
