The Role
Here at Chiltern Equine Clinic, Blueberry Farm we are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon Intern to join our team on a full-time temporary contract lasting from 3 months up to a year. The position will include Hospital caseload and ambulatory calls, meaning the successful candidate will gain experience in all areas of equine practice. Several of our interns have stayed with us to become assistants, as they enjoy our supportive team and fear-free environment. Those who have left have progressed to residency programmes in the UK or even abroad!
The rota will be 5 days a week including weekends and being on-call.
The salary for this role is up to £26,000.
About Us
We are a ‘Tier 3’- RCVS Accredited Hospital in Berkshire. Our fun, friendly and sociable team is made up of 13 Veterinary Surgeons (including CertAVP’s), 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses (registered/ student /nursing technicians), and 12 members of a further Support Team in Reception. We also have other consultants regularly visiting the practice.
Chiltern Equine Clinic proudly boasts a full surgical suite, a Standing MRI unit, and a large array of state-of-the-art equipment including portable, digital radiography and ultrasonography, dynamic endoscopy, Mobile Gastroscopy, and an in-house laboratory.
Applicant Requirements
The successful candidate must be MRCVS registered.
