Our team is expanding, and we are looking for a part-time Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team at Churchfield Veterinary Centre in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
We are keen to ensure that the working hours and benefits of the position match your needs as much as possible and we are happy to consider your preferences for hours. There is a rota for 1:4 Sundays for small animal consults, no OOH. Relocation allowance and certificate funding available for those that are looking to progress within their preferred discipline.
Salary: up to £50k DOE plus benefits
About Us
Churchfield Veterinary Centre are a small animal and equine practice in South Yorkshire with good access to beautiful countryside and major regional cities.
The small animal department is a general first opinion practice working surgical and internal medicine cases to a high level. Our very experienced small animal team includes 2 full-time veterinary surgeons, 1 part-time veterinary surgeon, and 1 mixed small animal and equine veterinary surgeon.
We work with a very experienced and friendly support staff team, which includes 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 student veterinary nurse, 1 animal care assistant, 5 receptionists, 2 office assistants, and a Practice Manager.
We have a small animal branch surgery in the village of Skelmanthorpe, which is a 25-minute drive from our main centre at Barnsley. We are training as a VetGDP Adviser practice and well equipped with digital radiography, colour doppler ultrasound, endoscopy, dentistry facilities, and an in-house laboratory.
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, well organised, and self-motivated Veterinary Surgeon with previous clinical experience. Good communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work well within the team.
