About the role

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a Environmental Sustainability Reporting Analyst to join our team to work in Coleshill on HS2.

Role Purpose:

Responsible for helping to initiate and then maintain systems to review and monitor compliance with contract requirements and parent company standards and targets, in relation to our Environmental team

What you’ll be doing

  • Assist with production of Environmental Minimum Requirements (EMR) compliance notes and help develop process and train others in this task.
  • Assist with development of EMS documentation and systems
  • Assist with developing and implementing systems to ensure BBV teams and subcontractors provide required sustainability reporting data.
  • Co-ordinate BBV and supply chain reporting metrics and submission of reports to client and parent companies
  • Ensure documents are added to MiDIP and TiDIP
  • Management of Environmental Opportunities and Risks, updating of register and progressing selected opportunity actions
  • Helps manage environmental opportunities and financial/programme/reputational risks to the project
  • Helps develop robust and comprehensive processes to deal with compliance of environmental requirements, working collaboratively with the whole project team on the following:
  • Culture and Heritage
  • Ecology
  • Water environment
  • Noise and Vibration
  • Air Quality
  • Climate Change and Carbon
  • Resource sourcing and efficiency
  • Waste Management
  • Land contamination
  • BREEAM, environmental awards and promotion of the JV
  • Who we’re looking for

  • Experience of environmental issues in a work environment
  • Background in data management
  • Understanding of environmental legislation and principles of environmental management systems
  • Experience of managing environmental initiatives/projects
  • The following qualities/ experience are desirable:

  • Member of an environmental professional body
  • Experience of construction of large scale infrastructure projects
