About the role

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for Health and Safety Administrator to join our tunnelling team at HS2 North.

Role Purpose:

To ensure that all administrative processes relating to the health, safety, environment, security are carried out in accordance with BBV processes.

What you’ll be doing

  • Carry out administrative processes to a high standard with attention to detail relating to health, safety, environment and security in accordance with BBV processes and procedures.
  • Work with the team developing the Health and Safety Management system (template, formatting procedures)
  • Ensure H&S documentation is communicated to all and available on the IPTAN Way and online project filing system.
  • Work with the H&S and Environment teams for developing Health, Safety and Wellbeing and Environmental campaigns
  • Support the team gathering data for month end reports.
  • Work with the team and the supplier on the project access control system to ensure only competent personal access the working area
  • Recording of incidents using the project incident management system (Horace) and chase close out actions
  • Log HSES toolbox talks/observation cards/inspections/RAMS
  • Print out site documentation – posters/briefings/toolbox talks – laminate where required
  • Procurement raise requisitions for HSES team
  • Who we’re looking for

  • Good communication skills, an organised approach to work
  • Good IT skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Construction/construction related accounting experience is desirable
