Our client a leading business publication is seeking a Junior Conference Producer to join their team, in this role you’ll be hitting the ground running working on a their weekly online show to a specific industry.

You will be working with industry leaders, creating content with business experts and specialists for online shows and broadsheets.

STARTING SALARY: £25,000-£30,0000

The role

Our client is a leading online resource delivering news, features and analysis around the critical issues affecting business. Working with experts and specialists, the content is primarily created for use in prestigious broadsheet newspapers and then expanded online.

Research

  • You will research competitor’s events to add new speakers and topics
  • Build relationships with C-level executives and industry leaders via all channels
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the trends and concerns affecting the industry
  • Online events

  • Work with the Head of Events to build and deliver the Online event monthly rolling schedule
  • Contact C-level executives and industry leaders via all channels (telephone, email, social) for formal invitations to join our Online events
  • Arrange potential speaker telephone/video interviews
  • Maintain and update any and all online event websites with speaker biographical details
  • Schedule TEST and LIVE Sessions with all confirmed speakers
  • Deliver all TEST and LIVE Sessions
  • Support the build and delivery of webinars on behalf of vendors and sponsors as and when required
  • Supply Marketing colleagues with full brief details, including topic, key speakers and discussion points
  • Work with Marketing and Sales to maximise speaker, audience and sponsor thought leadership investment via recorded video interviews
  • About you:

  • You are a graduate form a research based discipline or qualified by experience
  • Excellent organisational and project-management skills, along with attention to detail
  • You have an interest in working in this field
  • Enthusiasm, confidence, a professional work ethic
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-management skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines whilst staying calm under pressure
  • Effective communicator via telephone, email and face-to-face
  • Fluent spoken English and excellent written English
  • Speaker recruitment experience
