What is the key purpose of this role?

The role of the Data, Systems & Reporting Lead will be to act as Super User and system owner for Atamis (Contract lifecycle management system), Sage X3 (Procurement Aspects) and the Qualified Supplier list and any other system that the Commercial Directorate implement.

The role holder will also be responsible for assuring the data integrity of the systems and holding system users (Procurement Team and Contract Managers) to account, identifying errors or areas for correction and liaising with the data owner to ensure timely resolution.

The role holder will also provide timely reporting and analysis of commercial information, tailored to a variety of audiences from Board through to shop floor to help inform decision making including both routine reporting and ad-hoc requests.

Represent NTS as part of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority Project Victory Data standards and systems working groups.

What Knowledge, Skills and Experience do I need to excel in this role?

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Data management and analysis skills;
  • Report writing, including amending communication style to meet audience needs
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, working to intermediate knowledge of PowerBI, and familiar with other Office suite programs like Word and PowerPoint
  • Working understanding of UK government procurement policies, legislation and processes (Desirable)
  • Familiarity with fundamentals of project management (Desirable)
  • Collaborative working and development of positive relationships with colleagues, customers and wider stakeholders (Essential)
  • Knowledge of Sage X3 and Atamis 3.0 (Desirable)
  • What are the key deliverables and accountabilities of the role?

    System Management

  • NTS super user and administrator for Atamis 3.0 providing training, support and guidance to all NTS users, liaising with NDA on system issues and resolving in a timely manner;
  • NTS Procurement super user and administrator for SAGE X3 (procurement related aspects) and work with the Finance Super user to ensure an optimised system and provide training and guidance to both Procurement and Business users;
  • Super user for other systems as required e.g. D&B, Rapid ratings, Supply Chain mapping software and other systems as appropriate;
  • Work with NTS IT and wider NDA group to ensure systems meet required standards for implementation on NTS network and resolve any system issues as required.
  • Data Management

  • Design, implement, manage and assure data in all systems to ensure it meets the required data standards and provide guidance to business users on expectations and requirements for the systems;
