CatSci Ltd has extensive knowledge and expertise in a wide range of chemistry from discovery support through to full scale manufacturing and life-cycle management.

As the company continues to grow rapidly, CatSci require an additional Research and Development Chemist to join a dynamic team in our world-class facility in Cardiff, South Wales. 

Your Impact as Research and Development Chemist

The role of Research and Development Chemist requires skills in both practical and theoretical synthetic organic chemistry. You will be delivering chemistry programmes to cost, quality and time demands while liaising with clients at technical meetings, and compiling reports to convey results and offer conclusions. Without saying you will be taking personal responsibility for the quality, integrity, communication and delivery of science on your projects.

Requirements for Research and Development Chemist 

  • Relevant degree in a Chemistry focused discipline, plus extensive knowledge and experience with synthetic organic chemistry
  • Detailed understanding of process chemistry
  • Process Development (PD) including scale up and optimisation (desirable)
