About the role

Balfour Beatty VINCI has an exciting opportunity for an EarthworksGeneralForeman to join the Major Structures team in Birmingham. You will be joining a highly experienced team on the UKs most prestigious infrastructure project!

What you’ll be doing

  • Ensures that sufficient resources are allocated to the Works Section and that each has an appropriate level of ability
  • Identifies and arranges training as required
  • Ensure all permits are applied for and in place, ready for site work to begin.
  • Regularly review procedures to ensure they are as efficient as possible.
  • Works with the Team to ensure appropriate action is taken on findings from site audits / checks
  • Ensures ownership of Handover Documentation for the works and implements ITP processes to improve quality management on site
  • Experienced in planning shifts in line with EU regs. and section 61
  • Experienced in Safety & Environment Tours
  • Experience of managing a subordinate programmed
  • Experience of planning and managing project creep
  • Solution orientated with strong work ethic and flexibility to work nights/weekends as required by the programme. Capable of and demonstrative experience in taking ownership of the works from start to finish, including the handover of the works.
  • Who we’re looking for

  • Holds a current CSCS Card
  • Good Earthworks knowledge and experience on major projects as a General Foreman
