IT Technical Security Engineer

Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

The Role

Reporting to our IT Security Manager, you’ll be involved in IT security projects, working with the wider Technology & Transformation team to research, diagnose and identify effective solutions proactively to uphold and maintain high levels of data security. You’ll be involved in the continuous improvement of our cyber security, putting in place IT practices and tools, and staying ahead of cyber security threats. We all have a role to play in keeping information secure – a key message you’ll be passionate about communicating in all stakeholder interactions.

Our Ideal Candidate?
We’re seeking a proactive individual with a genuine interest and enthusiasm for information security, who:

  • Holds a recognised Information Security qualification or has time served work experience in an Information Security related role.
  • Understands a wide remit of technical control mechanisms including network based, web browsing, email and mobile device controls.
  • Is an effective communicator, able to build good professional relationships and work collaboratively with the IT team and wider organisation departments.
  • In order to maintain visibility and strong working relationships across our organisation, the successful candidate should expect to work from our Head Office, or other Midland Heart sites, around 3 days per week.
