Main duties of the job
Support the Head of Capital in the day to day management and development of the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Boards (UHB) Capital Assets, providing in-house project management and supervision of capital schemes.
Ensure delegated capital projects are delivered in accordance with the UHBs policies and procedures and meet the defined project deliverables in relation to cost, time and quality.
Responsible for safe, efficient and economical design, the management of delegated multi stranded capital projects (concurrently) from inception to completion, the preparation and presentation of feasibility studies, the undertaking of all contract administration duties, and site supervision for UHB capital schemes.
Responsible for preparing proposals for agreement, project plans and ensuring all schemes are designed in accordance with national and statutory requirements.
Support the commissioning process for schemes.
Manage supervisors, contractors, professional construction consultants and outside agencies in the execution of works.
Provide specialist estates project advice to Directors, senior managers, other Estates staff and external contractors.
Responsible for maintaining and providing all record drawings and maintenance manuals for all UHB properties, for maintaining all technical and legislative information relating to Estates construction and design matters, as required.
