The Geriatric service within the Trust is comprehensive, modern and innovative with multiple specialist services. We are looking for 12 month maternity cover to work alongside our experienced team of Consultants by recruiting to this post.
Main duties of the job
Applications are invited from suitably qualified physicians for the post of Locum Consultant Physician in Geriatric Medicine. The post will focus on the continued development of our acute and community geriatric services and the postholder will work alongside geriatrician colleagues within the department to work rotational blocks between inpatient (12/18 months) and community/intermediate and ambulatory care (6/18 months). Other additional opportunities may include developing to the front door frailty model and the provision of geriatric advice for City and Hackney neighbourhood model.Â

The postholder will be expected to consolidate relationships across the Trust with all clinical colleagues and to maintain and evolve ongoing vital relationships with community primary care GPs and community staff. You can expect to be supported by senior colleagues and a dedicated multi-disciplinary team.
