Main duties of the job

The vascular service across North Wales utilises the hub and spoke model. Ysbyty Glan Clwyd is the hub accepting all patients that require elective and emergency arterial surgery from both the hub and spoke sites. Ysbyty Glan Clwyd has a hybrid theatre to perform interventional procedures such as EVAR for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repairs.

Essential criteria

  • Registered Nurse Part 1,2,12
  • First degree in nursing / equivalent level of training
  • Evidence of masters working via a current portfolio.
  • Relevant Teaching / assessment programme
  • Desirable criteria

  • Masters degree once practicing as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
  • Knowledge

    Essential criteria

  • Knowledge of key professional issues, and NMC guidelines and codes, relating to professional practice

  • Previous experience at representing a service at Health Board / network level.
