Middlesex University is looking to recruit a skilled individual with proven ability to join our dedicated external returns team.

Based in Academic Registry you will be responsible for the preparation, collation, analysis, and monitoring of various statutory returns but in particular the new student return required by HESA – Data Futures. You will have the chance to lead in the creation of new processes for this return, and contribute to the improvements it will introduce. You will respond to changing requirements for statistical information required by external agencies and develop appropriate methods to provide the data required.

The ability to interpret complex data reporting requirements and advise relevant staff at all levels of the impact of these together with suggesting appropriate actions where necessary are key to the success of this role. You will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to ensuring that our data is accurate, timely and accessible, and works as an asset for the University as well as enabling us to respond to changes in statutory reporting requirements. You will work collaboratively across the University to provide high quality data and reporting services, instigate new procedural developments, initiate and develop processes and use technology to improve data collection and quality for all external returns.
