Main duties of the job

As a Cleanroom Supervisor within the Pharmacy Production Unit, you will undertake a wide range of duties including:

  • The day to day supervision and coordination of Pharmacy Assistants and Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technicians whilst they are working within the unit.
  • Participation in the production of aseptic preparations including Total Parental Nutrition, Cytotoxic Chemotherapy, Monoclonal Antibodies, CIVAS and non-sterile pharmaceutical products.
  • Planning and prioritisation of the aseptic preparation within the cleanrooms on a daily basis, ensuring a safe, efficient and timely delivery of all products prepared within the unit.
  • Taking responsibility of all activity within the cleanroom ensuring adherence to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Under direction from the Senior Technician, leading on any required routine microbial environmental monitoring and maintaining a responsibility of the routine monitoring required. 
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • A minimum of two years experience of working in a Production Unit.
  • To work in the UK, all candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland (RoI) nationals require sponsorship to obtain either a Health and Care visa or Skilled Worker visa , unless you have permission to work via another route. Non UK / RoI candidates wishing to apply should self-assess the likelihood of obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship by visiting Work in the UK .
