We have a fabulous opportunity for tour enthusiastic, self-motivated Occupational Therapists join a growing and highly skilled Occupational Therapy (OT) Service within Solihull.

Your new role
One post is based in our Community Occupational Therapy (OT) Team. Within each of these roles, you will benefit from hybrid working, from the comfort of your home, out in the community and from our Council Offices; with the Community OT being based at the Bluebell Centre.

Our OT service focuses on long-term needs brought about by disability or long-term (chronic) illness and our aim is to enable people to be more independent in their own home so that they can carry out their activities of daily living. Within this highly rewarding role you will be at the forefront, working in and around peoples homes whilst making a significant positive impact on their lives.

You will support members of the respective teams, including carrying out tasks such as screening referrals; visiting people in their homes to complete assessments and review aids and adaptations; recommending equipment and minor/major adaptations; providing advice and, where appropriate, liaising with other professionals and organisations.

This post carries essential car user status, therefore, you must be able to drive, have a driving licence and be a car owner, however reasonable adjustments for disabled applicants will be made where required

What you’ll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this role, you will need

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy (newly qualified will be accepted)
  • Current Social work Registration
  • Care first 6 knowledge desirable but training will be giving
