Our client is currently actively looking to hire a MLOps Engineer to be based remotely with trips to their offices in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Job Title: Senior/Lead/Principal MLOps Engineer

Rate: Negotiable/Inside IR35

Location: Remote/Hybrid Working (Edinburgh)

Duties:

  • The MLOps team responsibilities are growing and an SME is required to ensure this is done sustainably, focussing on tried and tested patterns for build, release and capacity management. In addition to architecting new ML solutions on AWS using: Step Functions, LAMBDA, Glue, Cloudwatch, SAM, Spark.
  • Senior or Lead MLOps engineer ideally should have AWS experience, be able to lead a small team of junior and mid-level MLOps engineers who are responsible for architecting new ML solutions for the Bank in addition to providing coverage for existing products.
  • Support with general usage of the Cloud and triage, SME advice on AWS services such as Glue, Athena etc

    • Model Management

  • Developing/maintaining new automated patterns in our platform for automated, training, scoring and model monitoring
  • Building new AWS account structure to support this and better practices around model dev and deployment.

    • Data Pipelines

  • Maintaining and establishing new ETL patterns to enable data scientists and analyst to deploy new data objects.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure and deployment process for ETL workloads including ongoing architecture review as AWS offerings improve.
  • This role will work closely with an existing python based Data Science team who are responsible for data acquisition, preparation, development of models and data verification;
  • Ideally, this person is someone who knows their way around bank governance, Infosec, IT security, understands the AWS service universe and connect the dots, architecture and build, and can work with the team on new ideas and better ways of doing things.
