Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for providing a fit testing service for all staff that may be required to wear tight fitting respirator masks (re-usable or single use) as part of the job. The post holder will be provided with full up to date training in the quantitative fit testing method. The post holder will be responsible for providing high level of comprehensive support to staff being mask fit tested, including

  • Training on donning and doffing personal protective equipment
  • Adequacy and suitability of tight fitting masks
  • Training how to use face masks safely
  • Guidance on correct handling and storage of PPE
  • Guidance on when to use respirators

    Detailed job description and main responsibilities

    The post holder will need to have excellent customer care to provide a professional, reliable and consistent service. The post holder will develop and maintain relationships with staff from all areas to monitor and deliver of the programme; this will also require excellent organisation skills for administration and record keeping. The post holder will, from time to time also provide support to the Risk, Health and Safety Lead on other health and safety topics as required.

    Candidates must be prepared to travel to sites across Gwynedd and Anglesey on a regular basis. However, access to a pool car will be available.

  • Diploma, NVQ 4 or equivalent experience
