Senior SHE Advisor

About the project

Costain helps to improve people’s lives by deploying technology-based engineering solutions to meet urgent national needs across the UK’s energy, water, and transportation infrastructures. The M62 Safety improvement scheme length between J25 to J30 is approximately 15 miles, or 23km. The scheme will run until March 2023 with a follow-on safety improvement scheme on the M62 J20-25 which will run until 2028

The role

The role will include supporting the project team in the successful completion of the project. You will ensure that information is maintained in accordance with the Health, Safety and Environmental Management Plan (HASEMP) and Contract Management Plan (CMP) and Training matrix is kept up to date and registered on an electronic system that allows traceability of issue date, status and revision

• Responsible for the site induction booking process, checking that all competency records have been received.

• Issue and distribution of SHE documents and data to all parties as required maintaining records of issues.

• Managing the information used on site to ensure that all members of the contract team have the latest revision of SHE information (SHE Permits, RAMS, Start of Shift etc)

• Creation and maintenance of the SHE Document Registers.

• Maintenance and protection of document and data repositories.

• Reviewing and amending existing SHE project documentation metadata.

• Creation and production of monthly statistical trackers for all SHE project deliverables.

• Archiving of SHE documents and data.

• Assist the SHE Manager in the implementation of continuous improvement.

• Previous experience in a similar role

• Maintain a professional working relationship with the Project team and communicate well with them.

• Promote the business in a professional manner.
