Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity to join our friendly team as first contact for patients contacting the surgery for assistance. We are looking for a caring, empathetic, and enthusiastic receptionists, with experience dealing in members of the public.

The job will include a rotational role throughout our administrative services including answering the telephones for all patient queries, booking appointments, typing short and simple letters, sending, responding and actioning emails, staffing reception areas, processing requests for medication, as well as simple coding tasks.

Previous experience of administrative roles in the Health Board or General Practice is desired but not essential. The candidate must have good IT skills and knowledge of all MS office functions.

We are open to applications from candidates looking for full time and part time work.

Welsh to be learned on appointment within 12 months.

Essential criteria

  • Welsh to be learned on appointment within 12 months
  • GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in English language or equivalent level of experience
  • Knowledge
