We are currently looking for a Site Engineer to join our Thames Tideway Framework.

About the Project
Thames Tideway – Main Works East is a £604m Costain-Vinci-Bachy joint venture (CVB) to provide a new sewage storage and transfer tunnel from Chambers Wharf to Abbey Mills (MNTLD) and a connection tunnel between Greenwich Pumping Station and Chambers Wharf (GRECT). The Greenwich Connection Tunnel is the only in-land large diameter Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) launch site on Tideway with tunneling being underneath urban London

This role is based at the Greenwich site.

Key Responsibilities
Assist the section engineer with daily tasks
Provide engineering input on site to subcontractors and tradespeople
Setting out, doing pre-pour checks and picking up as-builts using survey equipment
Assist in the development of safe systems of work, method statements and quality documentation; ITPs, QRPs and the like
Assist in monitor budgets and site performance of work on site
Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications
Attend regular progress meetings to inform the wider team
Assist in the day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors in area of responsibility

About You
Any experience in civil works, excavation, demolition, Shaft or tunnel construction would be beneficial
Competency in setting out, surveying and use of a total station
Communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals, e.g. construction – managers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, architects, designers, other engineers
Good organisational skills and a methodical approach to work
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Strong teamworking skills
Excellent IT skills
