Mary Seacole NHS Nursing home is a fifty-bedded nursing home providing high quality integrated services for patients with long term care, respite and continuing care at home needs, within an NHS setting.

We are looking for an enthusiastic committed individual to join our nursing team within the nursing home. You will be working closely with our modern matron and staff to provide a range of therapeutic activities including alternative therapies for our residents.

As an Activities Co-ordinator you will be responsible for planning and carrying out individual / group sessions with our patients, 4 days a week, organizing and co-ordinating outings and visits within the community.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to assist residents in identifying their preferred recreational activities using information from both residents and their families. Plan and carry out individual and group sessions.

Through effective communication encourage and support residents to take part in activities suited to their particular needs and interests.

You will also assist other team members in the assessment and treatment of residents of Mary Seacole Nursing Home.
