Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality at all times and will be expected to deal with clients, medical staff and various other health care professionals and outside agencies using the telephone and in writing demonstrating a high level of discretion.

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Your role will involve day to day administration tasks e.g. inputting patient referrals on to various patient administration systems typing clinical/miscellaneous correspondence. Answering telephone calls and dealing with the reception area. Excellent IT skills, ideally in using a hospital administration systems (or similar) are essential and youll need to be an excellent, tactful communicator.

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent knowledge and experience or willing to work towards
  • L2 RSA / OCR or equivalent experience

  • IT related qualification (CLAIT plus or ECDL
