A great opportunity has arisen to join the Neighbourhoods Team in the Environmental Health and Community Safety service. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic technical officer, able to undertake risk-based prioritisation. The role involves dealing with complaints from residents and will include advising and supporting complainants, witnesses and perpetrators, investigating complaints and seeking resolution in line with our Enforcement Policy. In addition to regulatory activities, the role also includes the provision of financial assistance, including Disabled Facilities Grants.
About the team
The role of the Environmental Health and Community Safety service is to provide a safe, healthy and attractive environment for all those who live, work or visit the City of Exeter. The Neighbourhood Team has a wide remit, covering regulatory activities, such as nuisance, ASB, hoarding and empty homes and the provision of financial assistance, including loans and grants for home improvements and delivery of disabled facilities grants.
