We have a great opportunity available for a First Aid Trainer/Coordinator within Entrust.

Reporting into the Outdoor Education Manager. The First Aid Trainer will ensure business objectives are understood and that the planning and coordinating of activity to support the delivery of these objectives is carried out.

The First Aid Trainer will take a lead role in planning, coordinating, and delivering First Aid training and assessment courses to customers, ensuring these are delivered to the accepted standards and in line with requirements of all relevant governing bodies, independent accreditors, and good practice guidance requirements.

The role is based at the Riverway Centre in Stafford so the ideal candidate will need to be in travelling distance and own transport is required as visits to client sites would be required.

  • Contributing to and complying with standard operating procedures
  • Ensuring the business is compliant with all relevant health and safety legislation and follows agreed national and local protocols.
  • Preparing and sharing information across the business through clear and constructive communication and act as a conduit for two-way communications of information for staff, customers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Reacting promptly and positively to events and circumstances, finding innovative solutions that support in achieving the desired outcomes.
  • Utilising feedback and data to inform decisions 
  • Having extensive experience of First Aid training and assessment delivery, with consolidated skills and training, such as planning and logistics. The ideal candidate would be registered with Qualsafe and familiar with their working structure
  • What we’re looking for:

  • Must have a full UK driving license, able to travel when required
  • Good IT skills, preferably use in a variety of software programmes
  • Flexibility and adaptability (May be required to work evenings, overnight duties, and weekends as well as school closure periods)
  • Good interpersonal skills and relationship building
  • Strong presentation skills, business skills and ability to work independently and with the team
  • Good written and verbal skills are essential
  • Preferred experience within a first aid background and previous training delivery
  • IQA qualification would be advantageous
