Our client is currently a large well known retail brand are actively looking to hire 2 Scala Contractors to be based remotely, with trips to their offices in London.
Location: Hybrid/London – Can be Fully Remote

Rates: Negotiable – Inside IR35
As par to of the “Price and Promotion” division, you will have the ability to innovate in this area offering deep potential to establish a key market differentiator. To help achieve this, our client is actively developing a set of group-wide services to provide Pricing and Promotion data to business applications.
We are looking for someone who can come onboard and learn the existing Scala/Akka code for the purpose of distributing prices and promotions. Working independently and good communication is key. Willingness to work with Java is also important.
Key Skills:
Scala, Akka, Kafka, Functional Library’s such as Cats/Typelevel/Shapeless, Basic Java skills
Nice to have:
AWS, DevOps, ELK Stack
