Main duties of the job

The newly recruited candidate will competently deliver health care to patients without the need for direct supervision, and to a level beyond that of the traditional healthcare support worker / healthcare assistant following competency assessment. 

The Senior Support Worker will work to the scope of practice set out in this job description and will be accountable for their own clinical work as well as to their nominated supervisor and their patients needs

Work in partnership with internal therapies and social care colleagues. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply

Essential criteria

  • QCF Level 4 certificate in Higher Education Health care practice. Assistant Practitioner
  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade A-C) or equivalent.

    • Desirable criteria

  • Has completed Foundation Degree modules within a directly relevant clinical field

    Essential criteria

  • Significant experience working within a relevant clinical service as a HCSW.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and IT literate

  • Ability to speak Welsh
