Job Description

Duration: Permanent, 1 x Full Time, 4 x Part Time – 18.5 hours per week

About the Role:

Being an active member of a large front of house team, providing security and customer care at all the Aberdeen Art Gallery and Museums venues. The job also includes providing specialised support for Collections work. The post involves working closely with all of the other Art Gallery and Museum teams and assisting where and when required. The job requires working on a set rota pattern with weekend work on a regular basis occasional evening work and lone working is included.

Requirements

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

Educated to Standard Grade or equivalent

Possession of a current First Aid certificate or able to study to achieve one

Responsibilities

The post holder is expected to demonstrate:

Skills & experience in:

Excellent customer care and good interpersonal skills gained through previous 
experience of working with the public 

Proven experience in Security work 

Effective communication with a wide range of people both orally and in written form.

Able to remain alert, anticipate potential problems and apply suitable resolutions

Able to work successfully as part of a team or on own initiative

Experience of applying practical DIY skills
