About the role

The People & Culture team lead on the strategic development of people at AIUK. The Safeguarding Lead is accountable for providing specialist advice to the organisation. This role will lead the continued development of safeguarding policies and ensure safeguarding is prioritised across all teams, with activists and partners. The Safeguarding Lead will also manage day-to-day safeguarding procedures and design and deliver training. The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

The role may be for you if:

  • You’re skilled in leading and developing effective safeguarding practice
  • You experienced in carrying out safeguarding investigations and resolving safeguarding issues
  • You collaborate and positively contribute to an inclusive culture.
  • You also have a good knowledge of the Charity Commission’s safeguarding requirements.
