Introduction

We’re currently recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join the Engineering Team of our client who are one of the UK’s leading operators of Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Plants with a combined portfolio of 3.3GW with plans to expand.
As Electrical Engineer, you will be based at one of their sites in either Kent, Hoddesdon or Shoreham-by-Sea, to ensure compliance and governance for various electrical systems which includes managing and implementing projects during shutdown periods.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Senior Engineer, as the Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the delivery of outage works, across the fleet of CCGT plants, and the associated project and contract management skills
  • Assist in maintenance activities when required
  • Procurement of, tendering and management of major service and refurbishment contracts
  • Technical officer/ contract management / assigning appropriate work skills to enable delivery

    • Skills, Qualifications and Experience
    We are looking for someone with the following:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or similar subject
  • Experience working with Electrical Systems ideally in the Power Sector which includes CCGT, Coal, EfW, Biomass, etc.
  • Knowledge of budgets and contract management
  • NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent
  • Willing to ravel to different sites when required
  • Full UK Driving licence
