Database and Application Engineer

Permanent Contract £40, p.a.

Morgan Law is working with the Royal Opera to recruit this key role to help manage their applications.

The Information Technology Department provide a service across the Royal Opera House Group, who depend on a variety of essential technology services every day.

Reporting to the Applications Lead, you will work on the maintenance and development of a range of third party enterprise applications and database technologies, including managing processes, controls and solutions to improve business performance. You will be able to work on some key projects as part of a small team and with some of the latest technology.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced team player with these qualities:

Experience of developing and supporting Enterprise applications with third line support Experience of Atlassian product suite including JIRA, Confluence and Bitbucket and familiarity of working with APIs (REST/SOAP)

Experience of the following database technologies:

* Microsoft SQL Server ( onwards)

* Open-source database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL)

* Data Warehousing technologies (AWS Redshift). NoSQL database systems (DynamoDB)

* Managed Cloud database solutions (AWS RDS/Azure SQL DB)

Ability to manage your time to deliver to agreed timescales your activity for agreed projects

Able to deal effectively with people at all levels and maintain positive relations with all user groups

Commitment to managing own learning and continuous professional development relevant to the role
