The Post holder will be an effective member of the maternity multidisciplinary team working under the supervision and guidance of registered midwives and other health professionals.
The post holder will assist the parents, registered midwives and paediatricians to provide holistic care for babies and parents within maternity services. The post holder will also provide planned transitional care- including care for unwell babies.
The post holder will have a key role in supporting and educating parents during the early transition period.
Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen to come and work with our forward thinking, award winning team within the maternity services at the University Hospital Sussex at the Royal Sussex County Hospital site. We support approximately 5,000 births per year across the Royal Sussex County Hospital and the Princess Royal Hospital, and have an exceptional home birth service.Â
We are now recruiting for the position of Nursery Nurse  to work with our motivated team. This will be a rotational post working in all areas in maternity including the Delivery Suite Theatre, Postnatal Ward and Antenatal Department. We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced Nursery Nurse Practitioners with appropriate qualifications .

We are proud to be able to offer a variety of flexible working options and contracts, however, all applicants must be aware that this is a 24 hour 7 day a week service and in order to meet service requirements you will be called upon to work long days, nights and weekend shifts.
