We are seeking to recruit highly motivated and dynamic individuals to take on the role of Senior Scrub Nurse Practitioners to provide leadership and support to our theatres team leaders and the junior staff in theatres .
The candidates will be responsible for the provision of safe and competent patient care intraoperatively , ensuring that it is evidence based and of high standards.
The theatres department is made up of nine operating theatres and a procedure room, including a stand-alone Day Stay Unit with 3 theatres. The department provides the trust with the crucial surgical and an aesthetic support service, providing an extremely high standard of expert clinical care to our patients.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will ensure that patients receive the necessary care and treatment intraoperatively through the application of specialist knowledge, skills and practice.
The role requires close working relationships with a wide range of multi-disciplinary teams-the consultants, Deputy Chief Nurse, Head Of Nursing, Matrons, team leaders and junior members of the team. To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will also need to have the ability to deal with challenging situations in a fast paced environment and in a professional and calm manner.
