Job Description
At Daisy, the primary role of an Apprentice TfL Field Support Engineer is to establish and maintain communications systems under supervision within the TfL support and delivery practice. They use a range of remote and physical tools and equipment. They install basic communication hardware and software. They also deal with routine service requests from internal and external sources including fault rectification across a range of technologies, applying security principals in line with legal and organisational requirements. This role will require the individual to work as part of a team, and will be primarily field-based, but may also be office based, or in remote sites as required.
In this role you will be doing:
Providing a technical response to incidents and service requests reported by TfL, achieving immediate resolution where possible or alternatively performing diagnostics to identify the best possible next escalation path.
Acquire and maintain superior knowledge and skills within recognised skills disciplines.
Keep abreast of changes and issues in their areas of specialty / expertise
Commitment to new service requirements
Adhere to all Change/Incident/Project Management processes
Adhere to all job administration processes
Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours if required
Following defined ITIL Policies and Processes and ISO 270001 Quality procedures
To be compliant with health and safety company policy and legislation
Qualifications
· Maths GCSE at grade 4 or above or equivalent qualification.
· English GCSE at grade 4 or above or equivalent qualification
· Excellent communication skills and ability to adopt a proactive problem-solving approach
· Self-motivated & enjoys working in a busy environment
· Thrives on researching, implementing new and cutting-edge technologies.
· Enjoys working in a team
· Customer focused pleased to provide good service
· Confidential information handling
