About Us

Highertown is a small animal practice located in the beautiful city of Truro in Cornwall. We are 15-20 minutes from the sea and some of the most amazing beaches in the country. Outdoor pursuits and watersports abound for the adventurous and there is, of course, Cornwall’s ever more exciting food scene for the gastronomes out there!

At the practice, we have all the usual toys with digital and dental radiography, ultrasound and in-house lab machines. Our staff are very experienced and genuinely supportive, going out of our way to listen to and help clients, patients, and staff members alike. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality customer service, fantastic care for our patients, and providing an encouraging and nurturing environment for our team.

Currently, we have three Veterinary Surgeons, a Practice Manager (who is also a very experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse), two fully qualified Registered Veterinary Nurses (you will be the third), a Student Veterinary Nurse, and a lovely full-time Receptionist. One of our Vets holds a Certificate in Medicine and additionally to this, we also benefit from the very regular visits of an Advanced Practitioner in Cardiology.
